Politically Correct, But Morally Corrupt

The issues involved in the upcoming election reminded me that a famous British historian Arnold Toynbee who believed that the way nations have survived in the past is though their response to challenges, both external and internal. A recent study that I have made about the resurgence of Islam has lead me to believe that radical Jihadist represent the external threat to our survival. The issues in the upcoming election usually refer to that threat. The internal threat, on the other hand, usually becomes confused with economic and social problems. I'm convinced that the internal threat to the United States' political system comes from the gradual disintegration of the principals of the divided and separated powers which where specifically written into the constitution of the United States., The background of this threat is camouflaged by the fact that citizens have accepted decisions by the Supreme Court as having the same validity as legislative actions by the Congress and President. In the past few decades major decisions by the Supreme Court have produced structural, cultural, and social changes which have not been the result of open debate and compromise.
